Get to know... Lizbeth

Hi! My name is Lizbeth, but everyone knows me as Liz. I’m from sunny California, an LA woman! I enjoy going on long hikes and exploring new mountains with my angel dog Grim. Something about nature makes me feel very calm and makes me appreciate life very much. I love plants and gardening. I love being creative with everything specially while dressing up! I also love to collect old records! I can never stay alway from digging through crates. I love discovering new artist and new tunes! And most of all I love adventures and enjoying life as much as I can!

What are you listening to at the moment?

At this moment I’m listening to my disco playlist that I’m obsessed with! Yes I admit I LOVE 70s disco! But aside from my disco playlist I’ve been listening to Budgie, UFO, Deep Purple, Bob Seger, The Guess Who, Grand Funk Railroad and Badfinger to name a few.

What’s the story behind your favourite piece of vintage clothing?

This one is hard because I have so many favorites vintage pieces! But I would say my most favorite vintage item I have is my rust suede “Penny Lane” coat just because it was my first real vintage item I ever purchased and it fits like a dream! I’m really petite so it’s hard for me to find coats that fit perfect and this coat is just my go to! I wear it all the time all year long! I have so many great memories wearing that jacket and did I mentioned it’s a rust color!? My favorite!

What’s the styling trick that makes your outfits?

I absolutely love jackets I have sooo many because that’s usually the my favorite piece of clothing! I just think a beautiful jacket makes my whole outfit stand out even if I’m wearing a super casual outfit a nice jacket makes me feel glammed out, but I also love belts to accessories to complete my outfits, and of course I can’t forget a super cute pair of booties to add that extra touch to my outfits!

What would you say to your 12 years old self?

I would tell her that she is the coolest, sweetest, and chillest person ever! I would also tell her to just enjoy everyday and to keep being herself and that I love you little Lizbeth!

How would you describe your style?

My style is definitely 70s inspired. I love the tacky polyester print button ups,the fringe jackets and vests, sherpa coats, the colorful paisley and floral prints, and of course the bell bottoms! I'm a bit retro and a bit bohemian. I dress depending how I'm feeling each day. Sometimes I'd like to dress in bell bottom trousers with a polyester groovy print button up paired with some platforms or sometimes I'd like to be more casual and go for the classic denim bell bottoms and a cute crop top or anything with bell sleeves, some wedges or booties and of course paired with my fringe jacket! But most definitely I just like to have fun with my style! I love outfits that make feel happy and confident!

If you could take someone, dead or alive, for a dinner, who would it be and why?

Wow this is so hard! Why just one person?! but I think I would take Cher just because I absolutely love her! And I feel if she knew me she would also love me! But I can just picture the conversations about fashion, make up, music, and studio 54 ugh it would be a dream to have dinner with her! I love you Cher!

What inspires you at the moment?

Definitely music, good tunes always inspire me and get me in the mood to do something creative and also looking at old photographs of people in the 1970s I love to see how they dressed and how everything looked back then!

Is there a book that you always come back to?

TYes! My absolute favorite childhood book Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. I cry like a baby when I read it and see the movie but I just love it so much. It’s so good I recommend it if you love dogs as much as I do!

All time favourite band/artist?

Sooo hard but definitely Led Zeppelin and The Beatles every song by them is gold and their music is an instant mood booster!

Who do you look up to and why?

II look up to people who live out their dreams and who are not afraid to just go for it but still remain kind and humble because they inspire me to go after mines. I also look up to women that travel and do road trips on their own because I would love to do that one day, but being a woman is always so risky and dangerous to travel on our own so these brave and adventurous women inspire me so much and make feel like I can also do that one day!
